Nissan Service Checklist
Your owner’s manual includes a routine Nissan service schedule you should follow closely. By doing so, you can extend the time between the appointments you’ll need for repairs and keep your car in good condition. We’ve created a Nissan service checklist to help you keep track of when you need to bring your car to Sansone Nissan for maintenance.
Oil Change
A Nissan oil change is crucial to keep your car in good condition. Motor oil keeps the moving parts of the engine lubricated, and dirty oil makes it difficult for the engine to do its job.
The average oil change recommendation is anywhere from every 3,000 to 7,500 miles, depending on a couple of factors. Synthetic oil, for example, lasts longer than conventional oil. In addition, extreme temperatures may cause you to require an oil change more frequently. During your oil change, we’ll likely change your oil filter as well.
Brake Service
Your brakes are one of the most important components of your vehicle, so it’s important to schedule routine Nissan brake service. We recommend getting your brake pads checked every six months or so. Squeaking or grinding sounds indicate that you may need new brake pads. Additionally, you’ll need a brake fluid flush around every two years/30,000 miles.
Tire Service
Your tires are the only point of contact between your car and the road, and they take on a lot of wear. There are multiple routine tire service tasks that are necessary to prevent flat tires, uneven alignment, and dangerous driving conditions. We recommend that you perform visual tire inspections monthly to check for punctures, leaks, or tears.
At least once a year, bring your car to Sansone Nissan so one of our service professionals can perform an official tire inspection. We’ll be checking your tire’s tread depth, pressure, and condition. Additionally, you’ll need to get Nissan wheel alignment service once every two to three years.
