The Nissan Brand Hits the Track with Formula E Car

The Nissan brand has kicked off its launch for the innovative Nissan Formula E car, celebrating electric motorsports technology and a new age for Nissan models. With a black, red, and silver color palette and its streamlined performance, they’re certainly hitting the nail in the racecar world.

This is significant because the Nissan brand is the first Japanese auto brand to enter the all-electric Formula E ABB FIA racing championship. Their specific entry significantly expresses Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the brand’s vision for changing how cars are driven, powered, and integrated into society.

“Nissan is bringing a lot to the table with our expertise in EV technology for the road and bringing it to the race track,” he said. “The level of competition in the Formula E championship is on the rise, and we’re eagerly awaiting the unique engineering challenge ahead.”

The second-generation Formula E car boasts new aerodynamics and a new powertrain and battery pairing. Season five of the Formula E series is set to start in December 2018, and it will include major cities across the globe such as Paris, Berlin, New York, Hong Kong, and Zurich.
