As usual, Nissan models are kicking butt and taking names in various annual contests, awards, and recognitions. The Nissan Kicks, Rogue, LEAF, and Versa rolled into the spotlight recently and we think you’ll want to hear about it. When you’re ready to make that new car purchase, the professionals at Sansone Nissan in Avenel, NJ can assist you.

According to Automotive Science Group’s 2019 Automotive Performance Index annual economic study, those four Nissan models out performed competitors, especially in terms of economic performance. This life-cycle data-driven research group, founded by environmental policy consultancy Eco-innovations, LLC, evaluates vehicles annually in 11 categories that achieve the highest combined social, environmental and economic performance ratings.

The Nissan Kicks earned the distinguished “Best Economic Performance” award in the compact crossover segment. One of the highlights to this model is that it has the lowest cost of ownership for the first 6.5 years of its life when you consider purchase and operating costs for the average new car buyer. It actually comes to 36% lower cost than the average car in its category.

The Nissan Rogue, which was recognized for the same award, but in a different class, beat out 184 variants. The main reason it did so well is its combined mpg at 29 where the average in its segment is only 22 mpg.

The Nissan LEAF was named a Best 5 All-Around Performance vehicle in the mid-large size car segment, beating out 434 model variants. The Nissan Versa took home this same award in its segment out of 335 variants. This elite award shows that Nissan vehicles are continuing to evolve and improve ahead of other models customers might compare them to.
