The Nissan brand is known to make strides in the auto industry, and it’s new Nissan Leaf E-Plus further proves its standing. We love talking about new Nissan cars, especially ones that are breaking records and improving the automotive industry as we know it.

According to Carscoops, confirmation has just come in regarding the new Nissan Leaf E-Plus model, which is due to arrive just in time for the 2019 model year. Equipped with an upgraded electric motor, it will get up to 200 horsepower, which is simply stunning for an electric or hybrid model. This is several more horses than even the standard Nissan Leaf model, which puts out 142 horsepower.

Thanks to this larger battery, the Nissan Leaf E-Plus will have a more exciting feel for drivers. When speaking with AutoGuide, EV Marketing and Sales Stategy, Brian Maragno, comments, “A larger capacity battery lends itself towards two things: one is obvious: more range.” This new battery is slated to have a capacity of 60 kWh, which will get the car that range of 200 miles or more on a single charge. Imagine taking a road trip behind the wheel of the Nissan Leaf E-Plus; no stops needed!

We don’t have a specific date for the big reveal yet, but we will surely give you more information once this hot new car is officially unveiled. Some experts are hypothesizing it will happen at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, but we can’t say for sure at this time.
